I'd like to apologize for my writing about this finale, but I would be lying if I did. I found the finale show of lesser quality than the semi-finalists it was showcasing. For me, it was quite a disappointment. I did not like, or enjoy, the combination of music and semi-finalists. They just didn't 'gel'. And the stage and set designs ... too busy and complex. All that 'busy' takes away from the talent and the musicians both. Personally, the only musical performance I liked was Blue Man Group.
I did enjoy the roast of the judges, however, perhaps someone should have roasted Joan Rivers with something like, "Joan, you're face is so tight from so many plastic surgeries, your nose has all but disappeared and you're more homely than before you began!" Good gawd, woman, whassa matter wid you? You're a good example of vanity gone way wrong ... or ego in great denial ... wowsa. I am no beauty either, but I'd rather use what God gave me than go to that extreme. I wish I didn't feel that way about her and, for that, I am sorry!
I wondered how Howard Stern would do, as a judge ... I like him; he's good at it. I'm sorry to see Sharon Osborne leave. I enjoyed the interaction between the three of them. I can't imagine who they can get to fill Sharon's shoes. No on is indispensable, but it will change the dynamics of such an awesome judges' panel ... wah ... see you on the flip flop, Sharon ... good luck!
