Just an observation: It seems mostly "new" or "young" parents (mostly mommas) put up posts like this one. I wonder, when your child gets to the point when their peers are more important and credible than you (parent) and they begin experimenting, sneaking, and lying ... will you still be "proud" of them, no matter what? Still love them? Absolutely yes, I hope so ... but be proud of those kinds of behaviors? I hope not. And how about when they begin doing things worse than what you did, when you were at your worst - that you "thought" your parents knew nothing about? Time will tell . . . |
