Laughter elicits the release of endorphins, the body’s natural pain killer. Endorphins, like opiates, create an overall sense of well-being.
Laughter makes a body feel good, physically and psychologically.
Laughing at a negative situation can relieve stress.
Much comedy comes from making fun at painful or depressing situations It works for me; that’s how I sometimes cope with difficult situations. I am often accused of having a "sick" sense of humor (pun intended)!
