When I first started this website, it was my hope to also incorporate a "forum". I had little success trying to implement that. The more I learn about "comments" vs "forum", I really have no need for a forum. Initially, a few friends were leaving me "comments" on my blog. I so enjoy the interaction with people, especially since I no longer am a member of FB. The statistics of "comments" has really dwindled. Even when I inadvertently deleted my account and had to do a re-build of it, I still have "regulars" who come and browse around, but I am not sure who they are ... my stat data doesn't do that without a full membership. Perhaps that is just the way with websites. I appreciate the viewership, even though I am not "selling" anything. It's just simply "my own piece of cyberspace". I have days when | only a few look, other days there may be as many as 100 plus. Stats are fascinating. Having a personality type which encompasses only about 7% of the entire population, I actually anticipated I would get more comments, just for that reason alone. It seems we're in a society who loves to argue, debate, and sometimes - just have a desire to be nasty - just because they can! . . . and life goes on . . . |
