I ordered on line, stating I would pay cash, when the pizza was delivered. However, when I went to pay the delivery guy I realized I did not have enough cash on me. They would not take a check so my only option was to use my debit card. He had to run it over the telephone, with the store. He had no way to give me a receipt, however, I did have the cash receipt showing what the amount SHOULD HAVE BEEN.
I've been having trouble with my bank reconciliation and that's how I found out the pizza shop charged me nearly $8.00 over the amount that was on my receipt. It was their mistake. They charged me full price, not the sale price. And, come to find out, it was that purchase that was causing me trouble with my bank reconciliation.
I called the pizza shop this morning. The manager is OFF TODAY ... of course. So the fella I was speaking with promised to contact him and get back with me. They cannot give me cash back, nor can they credit the money back to my debit card because it's "another business day". I have been promised some kind of a "coupon" card, for MORE PIZZA. MAYBE I DON'T WANT MORE PIZZA!!!!
Needless to say, I am an unhappy camper. I don't want a "free lunch" ... I want my money refunded. I would love to blast their name all over the place but will show them the respect of not doing that. I'm just saying, you really need to watch the amounts that are charged, when using a credit card.

Well, guess what? The pizza driver came in this afternoon and gave me a FULL REFUND, not just what they owed me. I guess his conscience and the fact that there's an unhappy customer made the manager come to his senses. I even called them back to let them know that they refunded me too much. It was a gesture of good will for this unhappy customer!
