We did a lot of "touristy" stuff ... either things we've taken for granted in our own hometown, or new stuff that has been added since both of us have been gone. It was fun. Tiring, but fun. I had no idea that doing tourist stuff was even on our agenda, so it was a pleasant surprise.
I also mastered another feat, for myself. There is a 'pedestrian bridge' that goes over the Missouri River, between Iowa and Nebraska. Having a great fear of heights, I was sure I could not walk it. But, I DID ... YAY, I DID IT! Now I want to walk it at dusk so I can get some sunset, and early evening photos.
My sis and I stood where the "line" is between the states, with our legs crossing one another, both being in both states, simultaneously. I miss my sister and our funny, little antics! As usual, my sister spoiled me a little bit. We also visited with people neither of us had seen, in YEARS!! Reflections of our past - some good memories, some not-so-good memories - and a bit of closure for both of us.
As usual, my camera was nearly attached to my body. I got some nice shots. I'll most likely spend my evening editing photos - preparation for a few of my Roxio photoshows! I'm always excited about coming home and finding out what I've gotten, for photos. I so enjoy my photography! And pretty good at it, even if I do say so myself, haha! *smile*
