Got everything filed, and now I wait ... for my "award" letter ...

Anxiously awaiting a telltale phone consultation about Social Security and Medicare ...
... hoping to file for both today. No more procrastination, no more waiting ... with this being a voting year, and with the government considering raising the full retirement age to 70, instead of 66, I'm filing a year prematurely. I want to get some of what I worked so many years for, and not sure I will if I don't go ahead and file for it now; I'll just forfeit those few extra dollars I was hoping for ... lookin' in my "reality" mirror! *smile* ... all that said, most people are still surprised at my "chronological" age, which is nice to hear ... Go to my homepage and click on "Slideshow" to see what the moon looked like in my neck of the woods this evening. The first portion were done with a "flash" ... the latter half done with no flash.
I extend my heartfelt condolences to family, friends, students, and fellow teachers of Nancy Hermanson. Nancy was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident June 25th, near Grand Island, Nebraska.

After hearing about this tragic motorcycle accident near here, then seeing her photo, my heart sank. Nancy was a regular customer and always brought a ray of sunshine to my day. Our very first conversation was "our" name ... yes, I am a Nancy, too. As you can imagine, that bonded us from the get go ... I understand that her funeral service was attended by many. Rest in peace, Nancy ... rest it peace ... God speed to all who are in mourning from their personal loss. Let the healing begin. I'm guess that many of you feel like this: If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again. ~Author Unknown Anyone willing to tell me how they feel about this big mess we find ourselves submerged in? Feel like you're drowning? I find myself confused enough, without trying to understand the bickering about it all, between political parties! Ugh ...
