In order to have a thorough investigation, it would mean bringing my friends into it - my friend has just endured two rounds of chemo and one operation - for esophageal cancer. No matter what has happened to me cannot compare to what they have been and are continuing to go through.
Even though we feel we know who did this, it's a moot point; he won't admit to it! Under the circumstances, I will 'grin and bear it' (so to speak), and extend him grace, though I would rather slap the crap out of him! *smile*
A local body man has provided me with two estimates - one 'doing it right' and one if he just fixes it 'cosmetically'. $3,200 to do it right or approximately $1,000 (ball park) to just make it look better. I am seriously thinking of trading it in, now, before the rusting begins, and let them do the body work. Of course, trade in value will be affected ... sure, duh!!! So we'll see. I just can't justify doing anything, except maybe get me another car. If I don't repair or replace, it will just rust away and will not have any trade in value, later on. tsk, tsk ...
I've been talking to my insurance people to lower my rates ... hmmm ... there won't be any changes made now until I decide what I am going to do with my car. Sad deal ... and life goes on, doesn't it?
