I am an "independent". I vote people and issues, not party, so I'm listening and watching as much as I can - mostly the main speakers. Both parties have "lay" people speaking and their very human stories that connect them to each party are so heart-warming ... regardless of party. But the people who serve and represent each presidential candidate give me more insight into each presidential candidate ... their speaking, their body language, and even their egos. And how can each speaker not talk about their families, parents and grandparents and how they were raised, and about their "humble" beginnings in life ... I guess it's a way of keeping themselves "grounded". Yet, in spite of that they still squeeze in "digs", "slams", and "insults". They engage in constant "muck throwing" about or at one another. Now that's something for a parent or grand parent to be proud of, right? How about "agree to disagree" on your differences, and focus on giving facts (not deceit), ideas, platforms, and resolutions to problems facing our country?
This all seems more like "reality" t.v., than a presidential election. Their hypocrisy is so blatantly obvious and, to tell you the truth, I don't give a tinker's damn what they feel about each other. I do care about myself, my family, and generations to follow. It's not a personality contest here. I may not like a particular politician (i.e. may be quirky, etc.) but that person may be the one who can get the job done. I have yet to find a politician that I totally agree with everything they say; after all, we are "human" ... not "perfect".
