I'm not certain whether it was my disappointment, being tired, bored, or what, but I have no comment about last night's debate. I can't comment ... I fell asleep about a half hour into it!!! Since I fell asleep I'm not so sure I even want to go back and try to watch the whole thing again, or not.
From what I've read, by numbers only, they're saying Obama took it. But it sounds as though there was a lot of interruptions, by both men. And clips I've viewed seems they're 'over the top' being more aggressive and accusatory this time. How about a middle road debate, not from one extreme to another? And, what little I saw ... I didn't care for the moderator and set up for the town hall format.
Anybody want to share their opinions?
A variety of quotes regarding debates:
“I’m trying to forget the whole damn experience of those debates. ‘Cause I think it’s too much show business and too much prompting, too much artificiality, and not really debates. They’re rehearsed appearances.” ~Former President George H. W. Bush
“The debates are part of the unconscionable fraud that our political campaigns have become a format that defies meaningful discourse. They should be charged with sabotaging the electoral process.” ~Walter Cronkite
“The Commission on Presidential Debates is a corrupt stranglehold on our democracy.” ~Phil Donahue
“The American people are the losers because the real issues never are aired by the candidates.” ~U.S. Representative Ed Markey, (D-MA).

This looks like an interesting website ... I wonder what their "political" persuasion is ... hmmm ... I'm not a political junkie, a stat person, or a history buff. I post things that seem interesting, I am not swayed by whether someone is a Democrat or Republican.
