I am so heart-heavy this morning. I just learned that Sasha Ellmers, employee at the U.S. Bank here in town, lost her battle with cancer. She was only 33 years young! I don't get the local paper. When I went to the bank, I asked about how Sasha was doing. That's how I found out she lost her struggle, and had passed. I always asked about her if she wasn't working, and if she was there we talked about her progress. I recently told her myself that every time I even drive by the bank I think of her and such struggles she's had to face. It saddens me; she was such a vibrant, positive young woman. She was always so helpful and kind. Sasha was definitely a public servant. I know I will feel the emptiness whenever I go to the bank now. My condolences to her family, friends, and loved ones. Heaven has a brighter star! We also had something special in common. Her middle name is "Raye" and my middle name is "Rae". We discovered that during one of my early visits to the bank. |
