I posted a couple things about Dale Dohse (and my mother) today, as they had shared birthdays. And, speaking of sharing, I sent the links to a few of our closest friends, and his last employer, the Omaha World-Herald. I thought they might enjoy seeing what I posted. My website gives me "stats", i.e. how many people have looked at my website, locations, etc. It doesn't show me "who" has looked (though I wish it did), especially today. It is still before time to open the store and I have had over 100 "hits". I have never had that many, even in one day, let alone in just 4 hours! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DALE!! I do encourage comments in the blog, and personal messages, through the "Write Me" tab. I wish I would have gotten some responses. That being said, I'm not going to be greedy, but this has warmed my heart - the kind of thing I'd love to be able to share with Dale and Mom. Maybe they're looking down upon me, and all of you, and smiling ... in fact, as I am editing this, the phone just rang; there was no one there! *smile*

It was so nice to read your blog today. It seems a lot of people feel just because someone is gone that their birthday is no longer important. And I am of course one who would completely disagree. I still celebrate birthdays of loved ones that are gone. Sometimes it is sad but if you really think about it, that if not for their "birth"day our lives would have never been or never crossed passed. So here is a huge Happy Birthday to Dale and your Mom! Hope you are blowing out your candles, having your cup of coffee and celebrating the day away.

What a surprise! Thanks, hon ... that wasn't so painful, was it? Heart-to-heart hugs, Nicki! Salute (as we tap our virtual coffee cups, together)! I love you! *smile*
