"There is more felicity on the far side of baldness than young men can possibly imagine." ~Logan Pearsall Smith
I had to look up the meaning of "felicity" ... I like this word. For those, like me, that don't know the meaning:
felicity: the quality or state of being happy; esp. great happiness
The example the dictionary gave was "marital felicity". That made me giggle. I've never heard anyone say they are in a state of "marital felicity" ... how funny.
"I love words ... whimsical, winsome, wry, wonderful, wicked, wretched, wacky, wondrous, waggish, weird, or witty ..."
Etymology: the study of the history of words, their origins, and how their form and meaning have changed over time.
Phrontistery: a thinking place (seems to be associated with "words")
"Do yourself a favor, and learn a new word today ... and, better yet, find the time to learn a new word every day! Happy hunting! A simple fascination can be a good source of education, when you're not even looking to learn." ~nr lenz
