My friend wanted me to use his camera, instead of mine. So I talked another friend into taking some video for me, with my camera. The wedding was in a church; the reception at a beautiful nature center. When I got ready to leave the reception I realized I did not have MY camera. It is fairly new, also a nicer one than I've ever bought for myself ... and, I was distraught because of losing the wedding video as well!
I followed my footsteps, thought about where I'd been. I checked everywhere ... except the church. That is the only place I had not checked. Pastor Paul happened to have had a couple baptisms yesterday after church. I called; he had my camera. I had left it behind. Ironically, I had been talking to someone at the reception about losing my camera. I had mentioned that if it were found on the nature ground all I had to depend on was someone of good character finding it, and turn it in, as I had not marked it in any way with my identification. And how I can only hope for "saving grace". Well, once again, I had to tap into that "saving grace" - guess He still likes me! *smile*
I sure hope all of my women friends who are "mothers" had a special Mother's Day yesterday.
