will you still feed me,
When I'm sixty-four?
Will you still need me,
will you still feed me, When I'm sixty-four?

“And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet
and the winds long to play with your hair.” Kahlil Gibran Lebanese Poet and Novelist The Prophet Other Books Quotes E-Card Love the earth and sun and animals, Despise riches, give alms to everyone that asks, Stand up for the stupid and crazy, Devote your income and labor to others... And your very flesh shall be a great poem. Walt Whitman American Poet Books Quotes E-Card ... if Mr. Whitman lived his life as his quote, my hat's off to him ... ... magnificent and masterful ... When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life so that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice. Cherokee Expression I just keeping hopping around, learning new stuff, about this fascinating website design adventure. The "Links" section is beginning to get populated. Here you will find some of my favorite website links with either a description or comment about why I like it. For now, they'll be added in a random fashion. Later on, I'll figure out how to "categorize" them, or design a way to "search" ... not sure yet. But, for now, I hope everyone who has stopped for a look will return, and continue to enjoy it.
Since I'm celebrating the birth of me today, I felt it only appropriate to share some quips and quotes about birthdays or turning another year older ...
"It takes a long time to grow young." ~Pablo Picasso "The older the fiddler, the sweeter the tune." ~Pope Paul VI (It. 1897-1978) "All the world is birthday cake, so take piece, but not too much." ~George Harrison "Inside every older person is a younger person – wondering what the hell happened." ~Unknown "I still have a full deck; I just shuffle slower now." ~Author Unknown "In three words, I can sum up everything I've learned about life...It goes on." ~Robert Frost Well, this time, on my birth year, I was only a few hours young ... 2 hours, as a matter of fact! I'll be able to remember when I started this website - it went public the night before my "birth day"!
Happy Monday, happy me! I usually do "something" special, for myself during a weekend close to my "day". This year was no different. I took off for a drive on Saturday morning and ended up going to see my mother-in-law. Pulled in the driveway, grabbed my hat, and out to the garden I went - they were pickin' beans (green and yellow). It felt good to "do dirt", and know that my labor and efforts were appreciated. Sunday was a bit laid back, because of stormy weather - grey, dank, and stormy. It was a good for domestic duties - dishes, laundry, vacuuming, etc. ... and time to get far enough with my website to go "live". (or not?) No matter, here I is ... *smile*! This morning, the actual "day" of my birth, began with a phone call from my daughter. I get a kick out of her, she's never quite sure what day, but always gets close. I stopped her apology as she was "spot on" this year! I love her so very much (I'll take close)! She and my grandson (6 years, nearly 7) sang "Happy Birthday" to Grammy ... now, what a special way to begin my special day! I am learning all the time. The tombstone will be my diploma. ~Eartha Kitt
I am always ready to learn although I do not always like being taught. ~Winston Churchill Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. ~Henry Ford This is my first attempt at designing my own website. Here you will find ... nuggets; nuggets of writings, photos, videos, links, and whatever else looks like it might "fit" for me. Hopefully, these nuggets are (perhaps) worthy, educational, or entertaining ... on some level. My website has been created with a good heart, good intentions, and no harmful intent meant ... enjoy!
