My daughter prepared her first turkey dinner. She borrowed GGma's roaster. So you guess what's on her Christmas list now? *smile* We did dinner dishes, then had a late 1st birthday for my granddaughter. Then for dessert - after she enjoyed momma's last spoonful, we both said to her, "all gone" - she very clearly repeated it! I was really tickled when I found out that is the first time - more than one word!!! Yay; grammy loves those "firsts"! It was a special moment, just between the gals! *smile*
We got all the dishes done, so the family could have the evening with a clean kitchen!!! My siblings and I learned early on we were expected to help with dishes, after a big family meal. Just because I was at my daughter's home would be no reason to do it any other way. She and hubby have three children; it's the least I could do!
As usual, a short visit, but this time it was only the family which gave us a chance for more quality time than is usually available with larger groups! It was nice. I love y'all, but I really enjoyed the quiet (well, as quiet as it can be with three little ones), ha!
