HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Quite the memories ... here's one I will never forget.  It was our daughter's first year in school. On Halloween I decided to bake cookies and take them to school.  As I backed out of the driveway, I felt a lump and heard a howling and screeching.  I had backed over her cat!  OMG!
I had also dressed like a clown, to add a little fun for the kids.  After running over the cat, I ran to the landlord's place (a rural property, with a couple rentals on it).  It was about 9 am.  I was so upset, crying, with my clown makeup running down my face.  My landlady answered the door.  I told her what had happened and she doubted me, because I was dressed as a clown!  At first, she laughed, thinking I was just playing a trick on her.  After I had convinced her the truth, she came and helped me wrap and put the cat into my car.
You can only imagine the looks I got as I was driving down the highway, dressed like a clown, with tears streaming down my face.  It was quite a day.  The cat was all right, with minor injury. And, the kids got their cookies.  But when I went in, I pulled the teacher aside, to explain what had happened and that I wasn't going to stay.
I didn't want to tell the whole class, or my daughter what had just happened.  I didn't want to put a damper on the day.  But, being the curious kid she was, my daughter wanted to know why her mom was crying.  So I did explain what had happened.
I felt so bad for our daughter, and for her teacher.  It was the teacher's first year of teaching!

Scott Toilet Tissue

If anyone chooses to purchase this particular toilet paper, just fair warning ... it is NOT soft, and very THIN!  I would classify it as one step above using the ol' famous Sears catalog that we had to use in an outhouse!  I mean, really, c'mon guys; this toilet paper is nothing to rave about.
They have even put a gimmick on their packages to get you to buy.  And not just any gimmick, but one that will pull your heartstrings.  Here's the deal:  they have a label on the packaging for "Boxtops for Education" which helps schools across America earn cash for the things they need.
I don't know how many products do this, but I just hope that the other products are not as 'low-end' as this toilet paper.  This toilet paper is so thin, my fingers poke a hole in it while trying to pull it off the roll.  Keep the ointment next to the toilet, for the rash you may get from its rough feel.  I don't mean to be so descriptive ... but(t) ... it takes about two arms' length to get the 'paperwork' done, hahahaha ... I know, I know, TMI!  *smile*
I don't think I saw the word 'soft' anywhere, but I did see 'long lasting' ... NOT - this is false advertising.  Scott paper products are all low-end, in my opinion.  And when they do tout 'soft' - again, false advertising.  It's called subliminal advertising.

Where the Hell is Matt? - all a hoax?!

Boy, do I feel foolish.  It was all a hoax ... how very disappointing.  In concept, a good idea, but I feel foolish for falling prey to what I would call more a 'prank' than a 'hoax'.  It shows what can be done with a green screen and a little Photoshop tweaking.
And then there's those that say ... 'tongue and cheek' ... 'irony' ...  and that it's real.

I was actually searching for "Mary Duffy", and came to Mary Duff (above), first.  A favorite; I had to stop and listen.  Beautiful harmony!

In spite of being born without arms, Mary Duffy is a very gifted painter.  People who dream, and aspire despite difficult cards they're dealt; they are my heros.

The following is my response to an article I read about American Idol having plans to cut the results shows in half, to 30 minutes.

"American Idol" . . . I never have liked the title, although early on totally enjoyed the show. The show name is kind of an oxymoron. 'American' - a republic of democracy, and 'Idol' - idolatry has no place in anything American. Not to mention that labeling someone as an idol is expecting a lot ... are idols allowed to falter, and fail?  ~nrl

Happy Birthday Katy Perry!

http://gma.yahoo.com/katy-perry-celebrates-29th-birthday-special-roar-concert-131827780--abc-news-music.html  See all the action here!

Anyone who watches GMA knows that Katy Perry is celebrating her birthday at Lakewood High, Lakewood, Colorado today.  First she showed recognition of the school for their winning video with the theme of "Hear me Roar".  She personally chose the winning video, based on her song "Roar".
It was a really good show.  Katy is 29 (she willingly revealed), and feeling great about her life.  During the show, I noticed there was a group of cheerleaders all in one section. After her performances, the cheerleaders pulled a wrap and, wallah, a birthday cake for Katy.  It was awesome, looked very similar to the cover artwork ABC has been using to promote this event.  She was quite surprised; you could see it on her face.  I don't think was expecting that, at all.  Her birthday, but she brought the gifts ... to Lakewood!  Good job!
I can't wait to see the "behind the scenes" and party time, off camera.  What a memory she has created for all those kids.  And ... no nudity, all in very good taste ... and fun!!!

NaturalNews Insider Alert ( www.NaturalNews.com ) email newsletter

Dear NaturalNews readers,

Healthcare.gov is now exposed as a data-mining website "front" created for the sole purpose of getting millions of suckers to type in all their private data: social security numbers, bank accounts, incomes, immigration status and more.

Hidden code on the website actually admits, "You have no reasonable expectation of privacyregarding any communication or data transmitting or stored on this information system."

See my full report at:
http://www.naturalnews.com/042664_Healthcaregov_NSA_data_mining_fake_front-end.html

Even worse, the Healthcare.gov website has also been caught deliberately displaying false pricing information to deceive consumers into thinking rates are lower:
http://www.naturalnews.com/042663_Healthcaregov_false_pricing_Obamacare_exchange.html

And just to keep a lid on the true depth of the disaster, the Obama administration has ordered Blue Cross / Blue Shield to keep enrollment numbers SECRET!
