. . . of snow. It finally warmed up enough to snow again ... light, fluffy stuff (right now, as it falls). I guess I'd best get myself psyched up to clearing the walks soon. The snow seems to be letting up some. Once it quits, I'll scoop while it's fresh.

[Nonpareil, Council Bluffs, Iowa, Published September 5, 1934, submitted by Ann] The fourth annual McMullen reunion was held September 2 at Dodge Park in Council Bluffs with 118 present. They are the descendants of: James, John, Henry and Sol McMullen, Mrs. Betsy Creamer, Mrs. Martha Dutrow and Mrs. Phoebe Porter. New officers elected were: Henry Rief, president; Harley McMullen, vice president; Mrs. N.A. Nelsen, secretary and treasurer. Committees named were: Program, Mrs. Lee McMullen, Mrs. Maggie Bybee, Mrs. Rhoda Williams, Mrs. Chauncey Shaw, Mrs. George Graybill and Miss Ruby McMullen; stunts, Walter Rief, Harley McMullen, Clinton McMullen and A.A. McMullen of Red Oak; lunch, Mrs. Harry McMullen and Mrs. A.H. McMullen. The oldest member present was Albert Heaston of Council Bluffs. Kenneth Collins son of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Collins of Crescent was the youngest being but 3 months old. He is a great, great grandson of Sol McMullen. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Aird of Los Angeles came the longest distance. Others present were: Mr. and Mrs. John Guinee and children of Joplin, Missouri; Mrs. Goldie Colwell of Stanton, Nebraska; Mrs. LeRoy Ludden of Ashland, Nebraska; Mr. and Mrs. A.A.
