Update: Dean will be going once a week for 2-hour chemo sessions, and every 21 days for a big 8-hour session. Please, keep sending faith, prayers, positive thoughts and well wishes for my friend, his wife, their families and all their loved ones. Heart to heart , I love you guys!
Younger generations seem to be pretty hard and judgmental on the aging ... the way we act, the way we drive, how we think about life, etc. Last Saturday I got "bumped" while at a convenience store. Because his mom was with him, he fessed up about it. I was easy on him; he's lucky.
So this morning I was nearly hit ... again ... and, by a younger driver! Actually, had I not been paying attention, there would have been a crash. She was backing out of a parking spot, going way too fast, and didn't see me. I noticed no one was coming toward me which gave me the time and room to honk and swerve around her ... not that I want to be in an accident at all, but I hope that's all for "near misses" with my car for awhile! If she didn't have a load of adrenaline, she should have had ... and I hope she did. I noticed that it took her a very long time to turn the corner. Hey, youngins, SLOW DOWN, CHILL OUT, LOOK AROUND YOU ... please?! I just heard on GMA this morning that today will be Elisabeth Hasselbeck's last day on The View!! She is leaving to join FOX NEWS!!! I listen to a variety of news channels, including FOX, however, since I am not a fan of this woman I will not be watching anything of which she is a part! Wah ... FOX, have you lost your nut? Off your rockers? What a bummer. A faux fur, for a fox in sheep's clothing!
