After listening to nearly 24 hours of coverage of the loss of Whitney Houston, I was suspect that maybe the Grammy show would be more like a memorial of her. I was pleasantly surprised. It was very tasteful. I like that they paid tribute to all those we lost in the past year, and not just Whitney. Jennifer Hudson's performance was so very touching, and heart warming ... beautiful performance.
Being a Hawthorne High School alumni (same high school as the Wilson boys), I was thrilled with the tribute and reunion of the Beach Boys ... what a flood of "de ja vu" for me. Thanks, guys! And Sir Paul McCartney's new love song, with the incredible back-up musicians, was so enjoyable. I was not that familiar with "Adele", but am certainly a fan of her now - good stuff, Maynerd! Congratulations, Adele, and welcome back!
