There's always something new they come up with, once you catch on to their "old" tricks, and how to get around them. This time, for several days, I keep getting an "invite" for instant messaging. I just kept deleting the message, to just ignore the invite. Finally, with their persistence, I thought perhaps it was someone who wanted to chat ... maybe someone I knew, but didn't recognize their "handle". So I "accepted" the attempt to chat with me. I tried to send a IM in return - to no avail. Out of curiosity I looked up the "profile" of this person, and guess what, I got a message that said, "no such name or account". I immediately deleted the contact from my IM list, and also added that name to my "ignore" list. Hopefully, that will take care of it. I will also change my password ... AGAIN, for a little more reassurance I've chased the creep off. It takes constant vigilence to keep yourself even relatively safe, on line ... safe from unwelcome intruders in your own personal "chunk" of cyberspace.
Hackers, spammers, scammers, creeps, jerks, and all other a**holes of cyberspace just never give up. You know, if you don't like yourself, strive to be a troublemaker, want to have a lousy life and be a jerk, fine ... do that ... but why must y'all drag others down with you? Why are you hell bent on wanting to make complete strangers' lives miserable? Why hurt people in a devious way that is not going to gain you anything except a reputation? ... and not a good one.
