What would you do, with 'Mega Millions'?

I was caught a bit off guard this morning.  When I stopped for my morning cuppa, a reporter from a local t.v. station was asking customers what they would do if they won the "Mega Millions".  Honestly, I haven't put much thought into what I would do with it, as much as how I would handle it.  Off the cuff, I told her that I would, first, help any of my family members who were struggling financially, in such troubled times.  And, secondly, that I would have a party where I could gather all of my friends from across the country so they could meet, heart-to-heart ... up close and personal.  And since, like everyone else, "I am going to WIN that 'Mega Millions'!"  - family and friends - you know who you are ... *smile* ... have a great day, everyone!  Oh, I also told her I would, hopefully, invest it wisely and live comfortably until my passing.

Now, having said all of this - on and off-camera - Honestly, I have no idea what I would do, in the reality of it all.  I've heard some real horror, sad and tear jerk stories of the aftermath of people who have won large lotteries.  I would not wish that madness on anyone.

What would you do???

No, No, No. I am going to win the Mega Millions. :) Just kidding, of course. It would be nice. I would pay off anything I owed. Give my children some. Have a house built and each one for my children. Set up some kind of fund for my grandchildren. Oh My, it is just fun talking about it. I have a very slight chance of winning. I would give my friends (that includes you) a big hunk of money.Just do some good for people everywhere that really need it.

Thanks for your input, Vicki! You go, girl ... think POSITIVE. I would also share, with you! It is fun to dream about "what if" ... and not worry about the rent! I could "buy" myself "roots" - what a novel idea! Heart-to-heart hugs ...

Too bad we can't buy "peace" ... worldwide "peace" ... unfortunately, no amount of money can buy it!

Thanks so much for interacting with me here ... yeah, I would think anyone would certainly want to help their families (I hope so) ... no DEBTS, what a surreal thought! *smile*

I guess I would have to play to win wouldn't I.
I would find a beautiful little timber, clear (or hire it done) a little spot and build a real log cabin with a loft in the top for a guest room and sewing area and make quilts to my heart's content.

Hey, Di ... thanks for the input. That's all right, you can just keep sending positive thoughts my way ... when I WIN, I'll buy you the materials so you and hubby COULD build that log cabin, all complete with that guest and sewing room ... my only request would be to get a "heart-to-heart" quilt! *smile* Hugs, love ya', hon!

Wow, what a pleasant surprise. Thanks for your feedback here, Pat! *smile* Contacting an attorney and financial planner is probably the best advice for anyone who "hits it big", monetarily. I would think most anyone would want to help struggling family and assisting your favorite non-profits with a heartfelt contribution is another eally awesome idea! I love you, girlfriend ... and love the way you think. As usual, you make me smile!
